The purpose of this addendum is to add a new set of testcases within new Section 7 of Standard 140. These test caseswere adapted from HERS BESTEST, developed by theNational Renewable Energy Laboratory.B-1 This set of testcases formally codifies the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Tests for certificationof residential energy performance analysis tools, asdescribed in the 2006 Mortgage Industry National HomeEnergy Rating Systems Standards.B-2
