Description
Notes the variety of humidity control options whose capability with various humidifiers has been theorised but not demonstrated. Reviews the effects of upgrading the controls on two different types of humidifiers – a self-contained electrode boiler and an air/water atomisation system. Notes that ASHRAE has asked that engineers maintain space humidity between 30% and 60% while maintaining duct humidity at less than 70% when possible. Concludes that with proper control techniques these objectives can be met in general application.
