Description
Describes the use of an energy analysis computer program to study elementary school energy use as a function of school size and geographic location. Three different sizes of school were simulated in six different cities throughout the USA. Four different types of heating and cooling systems were simulated – two heating-only systems (steam radiator system and unit ventilator system) and two combination heating-cooling systems (constant volume multizone system and constant-volume reheat system). Presents conclusions.
