Description

During forced convection condensation inside a horizontal tube, it has been established by Soliman and Azer that the flow pattern is predominantly annular in a major portion of the condenser’s tube. The objective of this paper is to report the results of a theoretical analysis of the problem of annular flow condensation. Also, a semi-empirical expression is proposed for predicting local heat transfer coefficients. The predictions of the proposed expression were compared with experimental measurement of other investigators.
