Description

Basic principles of air distribution with inclined jets through grilles and nozzles are discussed. Based on numerous experimental and analytical studies, equations for predicting the axis trajectory of inclined jets are summarised. Studies of air flow parameters after impingement of inclined chilled-air jets with surfaces in free and confined conditions were performed to evaluate the dimensions of the occupied zone effectively ventilated by jets. From these results, the guidelines for the warm and chilled-air-distribution by inclined jets are proposed.
