Description
Notes that new regulations in the USA mean a new set of design parameters must be applied to the development of cold/hot chassis emission test facilities (C/H CETF) for automobiles. These parameters affect the design of make-up air, dehumidification, refrigeration, general ventilation and control systems. Furthermore, in the engineering and selection of these subsystems, the facility owner must consider test requirements, equipment maintenance, and the facility’s organizational structure to develop a successful design. Explores the owner’s decision-making process and the corresponding impact on the design and construction during the installation of a C/H CETF for a major automobile manufacturer.
