Focuses on sample properties of alternative refrigerant-lubricant mixtures, specifically, mixtures of polyol ester lubricants with R32 and R32-containing blends, especially those containing R134a, or R134a/R125. Issues discussed are material compatibility, system chemistry, compressor testing, solubility, viscosity, and retrofit. Also included is an overview of future work with lubricants and refrigerants in this area.
