Description
Active chilled beam systems allow primary airflow rates to be reduced by up to 70% when compared to all-air systems. This energy savings as well as space savings make this technology attractive to designers. However, they must be cognizant of issues regarding moisture removal using an air to water system. This article includes an example with four design scenarios and discusses the results of each.
