Description

Most heating and air-conditioning equipment is powered by electricity. The mechanical engineer customarily lists the electrical characteristics of that equipment on the HVAC&R drawings. This article explains some of those requirements, which usually come from the applicable electrical code. Code references are to the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC).
