When do you stop responding to client demands? My father was a builder. He had a novel way of dealing with people who gave him an especially hard time. He would look into the man’s eyes, poke his finger in the man’s chest and say, “From here on in, you and I are ENEMIES!” I am loath to recommend this course of action to ASHRAE professionals embroiled in a difficult project or fee dispute.
