The possibility for regulations limiting the use of existing refrigerants because of concerns about climate change has led to a great deal of interest in lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants. The HVAC&R industry is working together through AHRI’s Low-GWP Alternate Refrigerants Evaluation Program (AREP) to evaluate lower GWP options and share results.
