Description
This paper discusses experiences with the use of a comprehensive HVAC design project while making a case for such use. Background on the course and students is provided, followed by a discussion of the rationale for (and against) a project. This introductionis foflowed by thorough description of the project. The paper discusses the course integration aspects such as timing, class coverage, reporting, grading, group interaction, and computer usage. Information and specifics covered in this paper should be useful to other HVAC educators and will hopefully stimulate feedback and discussion.
