Description
The principal unique elements of return duct systems are the branch inlet fittings where two streams of air approach, usually at different velocities and directions, and are merged into one stream.
This paper presents a mathematical analysis with simple models, then refines them and determines sources and magnitudes of possible errors and finally compares the results with available experimental data to arrive at an optimum design.
