Description

R503 and R502 exergy-enthalpy diagrams in SI units, based on data and equations published by the International Institute of Refrigeration, are presented. The reproduction of the charts here covers the ranges 4 kPa to 20 000 kPa, -130 °C to 130 °C for R503 and 1.5 kPa to 20 000 kPa, -110 °C to 190 °C for R502. An example of application to a cascade refrigerating system is included to illustrate the use of the chart.
