Description

Describes a study to compare the performance of forced-displacement and mixing ventilation in the underground garage of an office building by measuring carbon monoxide concentrations and ventilation efficiency. Measurements were carried out in three halls, two with forced displacement and one with mixing ventilation. Measurements of CO concentrations were carried out by multipoint sampling and by the concentration-decay procedure using CO as the tracer gas. Supplies the results. Finds the displacement systems were superior in terms of local ventilation effectiveness in the breathing zone and air-change efficiency.
