Commissioning implements a quality-oriented process for achieving,verifying, and documenting that the performance of facilities, systems, andassemblies meets defined objectives and criteria. The defined objectives andcriteria are often referred to as the owner’s project requirements (OPR). Thecommissioning process uses the owner’s project requirements as the reference todetermine acceptance of the design and construction. Commissioning includesverifying and documenting that the project operational and maintenancedocumentation and training of operation and maintenance personnel occur.
