Description

An experimental setup has been developed to produce a fungal aerosol. This apparatus runs under dynamic conditions. It is equipped with a rotating fungal aerosol generator specifically developed for this study. The setup has been tested with three fungal species: Penicillium brevicompactum, Aspergillus niger, and Cladosporium sphaerospermum. The system permits production of a stable, reproducible, and controllable fungal aerosol. This laboratory tool should enable researchers to simulate the contamination of building material by fungal aerosol.
